cotton cards

12/24/2004

so this is christmas. while i think its become a totally commercial affair and why people think you have to spend it with family is beyond me, (could do that any time of the year if you really wanted) i did get into the whole christmas spirit as much as i probably ever will today. all the cards i got i strung to the roof with cotton (couldn’t find any string) which was quite exciting. actually speaking of cards, i think christmas cards are the biggest waste of trees, effort and money. people buy them and send to people, these people recieve them and look who sent it and are happy for a few momments then put the card on a hanging or sitting on a desk. then after christmas they all go in the bin… am i the only one that sees the problem? Better off sending a sms or an email, it’s not only cheaper and quicker, but there is no waste when its simply thrown out (read: deleted).

anyway today was quite good and i had probably the most people in the house at the same time as i have had since ive been here. it was quite entertaining. my sister came up from melbourne with her boyfriend, tristan came over to use the net, (his computer has kinda died) rheece came over just because he could and we all played donkey konga. naturally i kicked everyones ass but i guess thats because i am so awesome (read: played it for many hours). elizabeth came over too after some had left and yeah… more donkey konga. as far as a christmas eve goes it was probably one of my more enjoyable.

anyway while im posting i might as well get tomorrows out of the way now: merry christmas all, hope you have fun and all that good stuff.

so now that its nearing christmas day… i might play tibia.
