So what is everyone’s favourite computer shop in Albury Wodonga
back on a previous post and since i havn’t updated in a while i thought i may as well make a new entry about it! he also wrote:
Enisuns prices are normally really good - just don’t let them touch anything or they’ll manage to break it somehow
My GF bought her computer from Albury Computers and they only put half the screws in…
I like BitsPC’s (Except I was sold a Samsung DVD Burner that produces more DVD coasters [which is my fault - I should have cheked out the reviews at cdfreak before I bought it])
Ashlin Computers - Gordon’s great there, they do excellent work (although you pay for it with their prices)
Which in my opinion is pretty much right on the mark. Enisun do have great prices but their customer support and tech knowledge is terrible (an incident comes to mind where a friend took his computer to them for help and they concluded it was winamps fault.) Albury Computers seem to have pretty bad prices but tech support seems ok (i do have a friend who got their computer from there and is aparently a heap of crap… but those friends don’t know much about computers so they probably screwed it up themselves) but i don’t go there because they always seem to want to sell you the biggest and most expensive product they can find. Bits and PC’s are great, decent prices and good tech support, never heard anything bad about them from anyone. Ashlin are pretty expensive but the service is very good, a guy who i work with was previously employed there. One he didn’t mention; Exact Computers, we supply them with_alot_of gear so they must be doing something right if they’re selling it all and not just stock piling it.
If i had to choose, i’d go with Bits and PC’s or Exact Computers.
as for a el-cheapo dvd burner, i couldn’t say. we sell alot of Pioneer 109’s and the LG 4163B and we rarely get them back to be replaced which should say something. i would probably keep clear from lite-on if you can though, i’ve heard they’re nothing but trouble (of course im refering to their dvd burners, they have amazing cd burners though.)
@Anonymous who commented on how long before i get in, If you feel so strongly about it, reveal who you really are so i can properly retaliate… unless you are the Chris Simmons mentioned before… oh how that would be a laugh, chris calling me a loser…
i have a lite-on cdrw and it’s work goodly for years.

If Pioneer’s burners are anything like their DVD-ROMs get one of them. I’ve had this DVD drive for about 5 years or so, and it’s never missed a beat.
Of course if you could pick up a cheap Plextor, buy that, those things are damn near unbreakable.
Oh and t, way to not read the post.
