i went driving and for the first time it had a few disasters. first the car didn’t start, but after a short ring to nrma (help) they got it started, maybe it was the battery, maybe it was the connection… who knows, so then we started driving north. our destination? the fabulous (cough) city of gundagai. they have a mcdonalds there… and a lookout which has condoms and wrappers all over it (who’d have thought people have sex at lookouts) anyway i digress, on the way to gundagai liz wet herself. we had a big mcdonalds lunch (i had some cajun nuggets which are NOT that hot) and on the way home we decided to go via wagga wagga. we got lost. liz decided it’d be a good idea to ask some local farmer directions so we stopped at a house. noone was home. then the car wouldn’t start. so here we are lost at some dudes house and no other houses nearby without a starting car. lucky for us some local farmer type guy drove past and we hailed him down. he said he has some jumper leads just down the road so he went to get them and i tried starting the car again… it started… so here we were in a working car while some guy is off getting jumper leads for us. we pretended it didn’t work when he came back and i “tried to give it one more go”, he seemed a bit peeved that it now suddenly worked but anyway liz asked for directions and we were off on our way. got home safe and sound.

work has been a bit hard lately due to a certain member getting into trouble all the time **shakes fist at josh** and because of that we couldn’t listen to music at work. big downer. so to unwind on the weekend i did what any self respecting guy would do at my age and decided to make a flamethrower with a few mates.
i knew he was about, but he was always hiding in the walls, scratching the roof, humping paris in the tree… his name is shannon noel, and he is the possum that i share an on again, off again relationship with. he wakes me up in the middle of the night with his scary possum hissing (if you’ve not heard it, don’t judge me!) and annoys me throughout the day and has been living in my roof for about 2 years. i’ve been too lazy to do anything about it of course. but finally he revealed himself in all his possumy glory, appearing in the cupboard, right next to my keg of woodstock… needless to say i rang pest control.
so since yesterday at work we have been “trialing” our new method of talking across the warehouse. each of us equiped with a walkie talkie, not only makes for a lot of fun, but also makes the job of talking to other people at work alot easier. checked the mail when i got home (as i do every day after work) but this time there was something in it! and from Dad and Michelle no less. i was curious since this would be the first letter i have recieved from them. i opened it to find a cheque for $1000! w00t! i’m so going to buy a fridge…
