For those who havn’t heard yet I already have a job. On thursday I went and dropped an application in at the cinema up the road, friday they gave me a call to come in for an interview and on saturday I got the job. It’s by far the quickest I ever got a job. The pay isn’t that great but every 14 hours or so I get 2 free movie tickets, I also get commission on food combos that I sell (if I’m at the food bar that night, last week the highest selling person got $192 from that alone) I also get an extra dollar an hour for the whole shift whenever I hang round the extra hour until closing time. Couple that with the fact everything here seems to be a lot cheaper, video games are half the price than Australia. I am a happy camper.
It will certainly be a nice change from selling computers.
nice job tim! so does that mean that i have to go to canada for us to go to the movies :p hehe. Did i tell you that i got that laptop? but my other computer is still broken grr

Good on you Tim! Use that great Aussie charm, you’ll be selling popcorn buy the shitload. Now you can work your bum off,to buy lamb chops. Or perhaps save up for a plane ticket to Auckland and buy a sheep 8-).

I would so come to Canada just to be served by you at the movies. But the real question here would be… were the lamb chops worth it? =D

Good luck Tim. Would you be calling your first child Baaasil if it’s a boy or Baaabara if it’s a girl?

went to the movies last night and the candy bar guy got all confused because i only wanted a bottle of water. ended up having to get someone else to help him serve me because apparently a single bottle of water is really difficult to understand if buying at the cinema. so watch out tim, the simple orders turn out to be the hardest apparently :p

its true! its so hard to explain to a customer that they cant have bottled water instead of a fountain drink in the combos. they just dont understand! we count the cups and if they get ottled water then we’re a cup extra and a water down and it all goes downhill from there!!
